Eli was left wondering if he should have just stayed on the coast of Erasmus, at least there was rain there. The soldier was starting to forget why he even wanted to go on this adventure, thunderstorms and coastal rain seemed like a wonderful dream at this point.
"I'll never complain about another rain storm ever again," the man groaned as she opened the top of his water and took a swing. "I think we are all going to turn into mummies before we even get anywhere." Eli laughed at himself, the thought of him being a dried corpse was strangely amusing. Turning to look along the horizon there wasn't really anything to be seen, sand, rocks, endless sky. The sun was still so high in the air that Eli didn't even know if the day was ever going to end. "Wouldn't it be nice to find some shade?" the soldier called to his traveling companions, they probably weren't happy about the weather either. He had told them that they were going to Thana, everyone new it was a desert wasteland but you never really knew what that meant until you were actually in it.
Pulling off his shirt, Eli began to wrap it on his head, in this heat your brain would melt before your feet got sore. If he wasn't careful he might start seeing things or pass out from heat exhaustion. Alex was trekking through the desert with Eli and another companion. And while bowmen was sweating he clearly wasn’t to bothered by the heat unlike Eli who looked as if he was about to die. Bowmen had on his usual attire but he also had on a gray boonie hat and goggles in case sand started flying around they could also be used to protect his eyes from the sun. “Got a map of the area, it could help find an oasis or a cave.” Bowmen looked thoughtful for a moment. “also remind me why we are out here burning our asses off?” he then reached into his left pants pocket and pulled out a piece of gum he then put it in his mouth and started chewing the spicy hot cinnamon flavored gum.

As the other two walked on, so did he, however, there was not change to his attire. His upper body was coated in a black tunic and gloves, his lower half was covered in a pair of boots and trousers, also black in colour, and he was wearing his black robes, with the hood up. However, he did not seem to be bothered by the heat, which most people might be freaked out about, but should not be surprised, if they knew of the Monks of Kalvosh.
When the young man who had asked him to come along, young Eli, began to talk a faint smile passed his lips. It was funny to him, that Karrl might had made the same comment if he had not received his training, and was actually tempted to comment himself and it seemed it would fall to such temptation, “Hardly Eli, the birds would have stripped our corpses of flesh before we mummified, we would more than likely, if we were to die in such a place, but three sets of bleached skeletons rather than mummies.”
However, when the young man, who he believed was called Alex, spoke he smiled a bit more because it seemed that the young man was trying to find a solution to their problem, not just gripe about it. He did not comment on the matter, it was not his place to give orders, he was merely there to aid them in any way he could, whether it be spiritual aid, or military, after all he may be a spiritual man, but the Monks of Kalvosh were warrior monks after all.

"I have a map of the trails through Thana but I'm not sure we ar going to find what we're looking for on the trails..." The soldier wiped some sweat off his face before pulling a folded piece of paper out from his pocket. He unfolded the old parchment and looked it over, aside from it looks pretty much blank were a few lines that twisted threw the middle. It wasn't very helpful as far as maps went but not many people actually travelled through Thana so he didn't expect it to be.
"We are searching for a magic charm, it's said to have the ability to bring forth mystical beings or something." Eli thought the idea sounded kinda weird now that he was saying it aloud. A nervous chuckle came from his chest as he folded looked the map over one more time before holding it so the others could see it as well. "We are about," Eli held that last word as he brought his pointer finger to point at a spot on the map just off of the darkest line on the map. "Here. That is the main caravan trail of Thana, I want us to wander up this way. Not many people travel up there so it would be the perfect spot to find such treasures." After explaining himself a little the man folded his map back up and stuffed it into his pants pocket. "Hopefully we can find some shade before we pass out and have the birds eat us then," taking a step forward the soldier kicked up some sand and continued on his way. Bowmen looked concerned for a moment. “We are looking for a amulet that is said to contain mythical beings, so how do we know these mythical beings won’t try and kill us. Wait second question we are not going to release them are we?” Bowmen heard tales of one of his ancestors sealing away a mythical being and wondered if this was the same one but quickly dismissed the thought. The bowmen family was shrouded in mystery and had a pretty extensive past there where rumors within the family that the one of heads of the family was a vampire. “you know one of my ancestors was a famous monster hunter and tales say he sealed away a mythical creature inside a amulet, it would be interesting if what we were looking for was that same amulet.” Bowmen was now trying to make small talk with the others he felt it was the best way to get to know someone.
