The deepeyes team where gearing up for a mission they had no idea what it was yet but none the less they were gearing up for it, as soon as each member of the team had their gear they made their way to a copperhead VTOL aircraft. The copperhead while a newer vehicle in the odol military was proving to be a mainstay transport for infantrymen and most generals used it as a personal transport and while the odol military had still used helicopters they where a more common sight then copperhead. Neil sat down in the pilot’s seat and started prepping the vehicle for lift off. The other members of the squad climbed into the troop hold, hondo was in first his serpent assault rifle had a masterkey shotgun on it and sat down, next in was Ryan his serpent had a grenade launcher on it, next up was Jane she hefted her drake heavy machine gun and took her seat next to the door, finally gray got in and looked over his squad and tool his seat next to the cockpit and now all they had to do was wait for a man named jango. “Sir who is this jango guy it’s the first I heard of him.” Ryan asked. “I hear he is some badass meta human thing that likes to kill people.” Neil replied. “I don’t know who he is either but whoever he is, he is in charge now and from what I heard he wants to review our squads performance.” Gray was glad that the squad was using its helmets built in comlinks. Jane kept a look out even though they were still at the base.

It took awhile for the current Odolian General to make it to the meeting spot for that Squad Evaluation. Honestly, he had forgotten all about it. Instead of actually doing something fun to make his mind push it deeper, he was swamped with work. Jango, the General, was at his desk in his office shuffling through papers. An execution was happening that exact same day, of a few captured rebels. He wished he could of been there but he had a nagging feeling he should be elsewhere. Upon finding the request form, an officer knocked and entered the room, standing at attention. Glancing at the man, Jango nodded, from there, the officer told him that he was due to meet at squad of soldiers out at the designated location. Giving a sigh, he signed the form, handed it to the officer then grabbed his gear and left.
Jango, the evil General, was next seen exiting the Military Barracks and walking towards the aerial vehicle that was powering up. He stood tall, about six and half feet with broad shoulders. He wore armor that covered his entire body except for his head but he didn't need a helmet, his enemies usually died when they got close enough. His armor consisted of skin tight leather armor, a heavy black trench coat and armor plating over certain places of his body; torso, shoulders, forearms&hands, crotch&thighs and boots with greaves. Light enough armor to not hinder movement and agility too much but enough be protect him. Displayed on his center chest piece was a silver eagle crest, emblem of his office and rank.
Nearing closer to the transport, a soldier met him half way, carrying a large sword sheathed in a big leather and metal scabbard with a leather strap. The soldier seemed to be struggling with it but Jango merely took it and slung it over his shoulder, carrying its weight like it was nothing then continued onwards to the transport. Once there, he straightened up more, to appear as superior as he is and strolled up the ramp and into the belly of the beast. He ignored the others that were sitting on the benches and instead walked all the way to the front, where the cockpit was and undoubtedly, the commander of this squad.
Stopping at the threshold, he gazed through the doorway at the two figures in the seats. One was the pilot and the other should be the man-in-charge, in a sense. As a General, Jango had commanding power over everyone in the Army, so he could lead this squad if he wanted to but didn't because this was just an evaluation of their skill and abilities rather than a priority mission. Staring at the two figures, he decided to speak first and break the already broken silence.
"You are Gray Edwards, I presume?" He said to the figure in the passenger seat. He had a somewhat deep voice, one that rolled through the vehicle like thunder. His tone was firm and straightforward, he was here for business and that's how it was going to be.

Gray looked up and so did the rest of his squad. “he look’s badass.” Neil said over the helmet comms to which Jane shot him a glance, even with full armor on Neil could tell she was giving him that shut up look. Gray ignored it and then proceeded to turn on the holographic projector which showed a 3D model of odol namely the city, Gray got right to business. “General Saturos, sorry you had to miss the executions but today you get to be with us not as fun a execution but at least it’s something new every day.” Gray gestured to the hologram projection and Neil lifted the copperhead off the ground and started heading for the city outskirts. “We have gotten reports of caravans possibly being run by the rebels has been stopping and trading at the edge of the city, our job will be to investigate these claims.” Jane patted her heavy machine gun giving the general a hint that they had the proof they needed to kill these guys. “if these claims are true we detain at least one and kill the others, standard procedure is we give them a chance to surrender after that its fair game.” After a brief moment of silence Gray added. “Any questions?”

As the aircraft took off, Jango remained standing and simply put his hand up against the doorway to support himself during the minor gravity shifts the transport would experience taking off. He stood and stared at Gray as he gave the status report. Firm rumors of Rebels supporting trade caravans on the outskirts of the Odolian Capital. That was definitely a serious offense, still within Odol itself but far enough away to avoid taxes and the Army. The General was already devising ways to torture them once they were found, if there was any truth to these so-called reports. However, what Gray said about giving them a chance to surrender as per standard procedure, it knocked the man out of his dream world and back into reality.
"Are you serious? A chance to surrender? Boy, where did you did you do your training? During my time, it was all or nothing. The Army must be weakening. Memo to me, change all that." He started to mumble to himself after that, saying things about punishment and executions involving the Senior Staff of the Odolian Army.
Shaking his head, Jango brought his mind back to the task at hand. He wasn't here to lead or make the rules, he was here to see them in action, evaluate their performance then decide their future with the Army. With a sigh, he thought over his words, suppressing his sadistic persona and deciding to continue on with the previous conversation.
"Anyways, we'll follow your Standard Procedure for now." He then turned around and leaned against the wall next to the doorway, to face the back of the transport and gaze at the rest of the squad.
He crossed his arms as he analyzed them but he couldn't get much information in the visual sense. They all wore armor and had guns, consistent with the Heavy Armored Battalion units though not as heavily geared. Grimacing, the General averted his attention and stared at nothing in particular. It would take them at least half an hour to reach their designation, so it would give him time to think things through.

Gray ignored what jango said and handed him a high density gas or HDG packet and a launcher. “I don’t think your bones will survive a fifty foot drop meta human or not, the gas will cushion your fall just aim the launcher at the ground and fire it about ten feet before you hit the ground.” Gray didn’t care what the general thought of him though that wouldn’t stop him from trying to impress the man. The hologram changed to show where the caravan would be, there was a broken down car in the way of where the caravan would be the hood was up and a man was working on it. Gray knew the man as a trusted informant who gave the odolian military information on the rebels for a little extra coin and food, though the down side to this was that the man needed to be on site for the mission and at anytime if something went wrong the man could end up dead and odol could lose a trusted source of information. Gray and the rest of the deepeyes Neil excluded watched it with interest. “in case you’re wondering general this is a set up even though we have the proof we need to go after these guys we still need to confirm that is the right caravan and that man is a trusted informant, he has been working with the odol military since before you where transferred to our command.” A caravan rolled up to the gate and stopped in front of the broken down car and the man who was working on it. A few of the caravaners walked over to him and the man gave them a thumbs up that was the signal confirming that the caravan was the one that the rebels where using. “Neil punch it, remember try to leave at least one guy alive.” The copperhead accelerated sharply and Neil armed the aircrafts weapons system which consisted of a chin mounted machine gun and a side mounted missile launcher. The men got the car moveing and it was heading toward safety. Neil was pushing the craft to its limits and Gray opened the crafts rear hatch the squad all stood up and Gray moved to the front of the line and got ready to jump. Neil brought the copperhead in high and fired a missile at the caravan which hit the first caravan vehicle and effectively stopped them from moving. Gray jumped first and fired his HDG packet at the ground which expanded into a liquid and then dispiresed into a green gas giveing gray a fearsome appearnce when he hit it, the rest of the deepeyes followed suit. “surrender!” Gray shouted his voice amplified by his helmets voice amp, The caravaners returned fire. “I guess they didn’t hear you Captain.” Hondo said. “I guess not. Its fair game now.” Gray sighted a guy who was running out into the open and fired on him. the deepeyes took cover and opened fire with there weapons janes drake heavy machine gun roared as it spat out bullets tearing into metal and flesh, the woman smiled as she kept fireing her weapon.
