After a long period of stasis, Final Fantasy: Dystopia has once again been reopened and the light has been shed upon it's surface. With the opening of these doors came several changes, some of which were drastic, others small, other sad, and others hard to make but, for the greater good of Dystopia, the Administration has decided in favor of these changes which are listed below.
- Class System - The class system has changed to include only 3 primary character types; Ranged and Melee, Casters, and Tank. The reason for this change is that Administrator Alexander felt a set list of classes with their own individual statistical numbers to choose from was not only restricting but also very confusing when it came to making actual in-game calculations. In favor of a more simple view, the 3 class system has been implemented to yield greater freedoms when creating characters, thus allowing more imaginative ideas to be brought to life.
- Race System - With the changes made to the class system, we felt the need to also do something about the Race system. This is something we thought long and hard about and the conclusion was decided upon to suspend the Race system. Why the change? Simply making changes to the Class system and doing nothing to the Race system, which would have still been bound to statistical numbers, seemed to leave behind an unbalanced and more so confusing method of establishing a character. The benefits to this is that character creation is no longer bound to the list of canon Final Fantasy species and instead a more imaginative approach can be taken when creating characters. This being said, a stricter eye will be placed on created characters to prevent the creation of god characters.
- Administration - As most of you are well aware, Administrator Daxxy and Merchant Yuna are no longer with us. Although this news is one of a sad tiding, we are pleased to announce the arrival of our newest staff member Saya who has thus far contributed much to some of the reformations here in Dystopia.
- Summons - Summons have arrived to the world of Final Fantasy: Dystopia and like most aspects of this world, players have the option of creating their own creatures to aid them on the battlefield. Additionally, players have the option of Junctioning these summons to their corresponding characters which in turn yields increased statistical value to their character's constitution and sometimes even an extra ability, or two, or three.
