[/u][/center]Who Would Have Thought
Name: Riley Sherlock White - The God of Thunder, Thor.
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Race: Demigod
Home Continent: Midgard
Class: MELEE
Character Alignment: Hero
Class Statistics Bonus: Melee
This Dream Would Come True
[/b][/u]Character Personality: Riley is a strong willed and independent young woman. Full of compassion and inner strength, she seeks to always find the best in people though by no means disregards the evil in people either. Some have described her as closed and stand-off'ish. Others find her difficult to approach. These characteristics are attributed to having undergone some periods of personal struggle in her life, or "growth," as she would call it, though she does not enjoy talking about such things.
No matter what the case, when friendships are established Riley is known to be encouraging and uplifting though still reserved in her own enigmatic darkness. For this reason, she can be easy to get along with though difficult to compromise as she often feels her own methods to be proper (they usually always are). Thus, Riley naturally takes on a leadership role in any situation.
Depending on the circumstances, Riley can be the type to ask questions later or the single-most diplomatic voice in a hall of warlords. When she feels the need to fight first, she'll do so with justifiable cause given. The same can be said should she decide to take a more civilized approach to conflict resolution.
All-in-all, Riley is a well rounded individual who, like most people, has her fair share of inner demons and conflictions, though even these seem to be sundered under the weight of her will and strength.
Quirks:
- Highly intelligent. Riley is able to deduce factors and calculations on a practical level as well as on an intellectual level, albeit withholding mathematical complexities and the like. Put simply, she is an expert at deducing probabilities and piecing together the many puzzles encountered in life no matter how difficult they may be.
- Confidently stubborn. Once Riley sets out to accomplish a task, there no stopping or deterring her. Although she knows her limitations and boundaries, there is hardly a challenge she will not dare to brave provided such a path is one toward righteousness.
- A loyal friend and a trustworthy companion. To let someone down, especially a loved one or someone close, would be an act worthy of great shame to her.
- She is the god of thunder.
Flaws:
- Although she has a basic understanding of Gaian language, she has trouble understanding certain words and phrases leaving her contemplative for a moment to determine just what was said based on what little she has come to understand.
- Somewhat arrogant. At times, Riley can feel as though she is more unstoppable then she really is. When these moments arise, Riley tends to place her team in danger, though she actively acts to protect them simultaneously.
- Has something of an OCD complex when it comes to her own possessions, wanting them to be neat and organized in the exact order she desires. Whether this is true OCD or simply an over-protectiveness of her belongings comes to question.
- Due to the residual effects of the Trinity and knowing the alleged fate that "Thor," is to undergo, Riley lives in hidden fear of a future that may or may not come. The details as to this supposed future are yet unknown and even her deductive reasonings fail to shed proper light on the matter.
Character Appearance
And If I Have To Be A God
[/b][/u]Physical Abilities:
- Æsir Spirit - Imbued by the powers of the artifacts wielded, Riley is a literal god in a world of men. Though still bound to humanity in a mortal sense, Riley is unchained by the confines of frailty and common flesh. Thus, she is capable of enduring much more then the average man.

- (Passive) [+25] HP
- (Passive) [10] HP Regen every post.
- (Passive) Riley's gains (+1) extra Strength every level.
- Asgardian Fury - With near limitless power in her hands, Riley's destructive capabilities are beyond even her own comprehension. As such, she is prone to utilizing too much power for her own good and though the results are often beneficial, the return is costly.
- Riley strikes at a single opponent with such force that it deals True Damage [40 Damage], ignoring the enemies armor and defense rating. The drawback to exhibiting such power is that her body is unable to handle the output of energy and thus she suffers [10%] of the damage dealt.
- Riley strikes at a single opponent with such force that it deals True Damage [40 Damage], ignoring the enemies armor and defense rating. The drawback to exhibiting such power is that her body is unable to handle the output of energy and thus she suffers [10%] of the damage dealt.
- Mjölnir's Roar - It is one thing to strike at a single opponent and devastate them with a fatal blow, it is another to strike an inanimate and unmovable object. When Riley strikes a surface too large or too great to be sundered, the energies channeled result in an explosive array of electrical discharges that damage all nearby enemies, and allies, and knocks them airborne, and away, several feet. Riley uses this to her advantage when outnumbered by striking at the ground beneath her.
- Damage: [30 + [15] lightning damage] + Knockback
- If an enemy collides with terrain other then ground, an additional [10] damage is dealt.
- Damage: [30 + [15] lightning damage] + Knockback
- God of Thunder - Riley draws vasts amounts of energy from the Trinity to engulf her entire body during which she becomes an avatar of sheer electrical wrath for [3] turns. In this state, Riley is rendered an unstoppable and chaotic force overflowing with sheer power. When the duration ends, the Trinity must take time to recharge itself [3 turns] during which Riley is capable of only basic attacks.
- Upon activation, all surrounding units are struck by a massive output of electrical discharges, knocking them back and dealing [40] Lightning damage. Additionally, Riley is imbued with Haste.
- While God of Thunder is active, Riley strikes a random target with an electrical discharge, dealing [20] Lightning Damage.
- [100] HP
- [25] Str. + Lvl.
- [25] Def. + Lvl.
- Immunity to all status changes and debuffs.
- (Passive) Immunity to all Thunder based magics.

Magical Abilities:
- Thunder [Lvl 1] - Riley calls down a powerful bolt of lightning from the heavens to reign upon a single opponent dealing [50] dmg.
- Quake [Lvl 1] - Riley produces a flash of electrical energies so bright that it inflicts the Blind status for [1] turn on all who look upon it. Flash will not work on opponents already sightless.
- Shock [Lvl 1] - Riley sends a charged current of electrical energies through a single unit's body, stunning them for [1] turn and dealing [25] Lightning damage.
- Asgard's Wrath [Lvl 1] - Creating a singularity in atmospheric pressure, Riley creates a devastating thunder storm that rains bolts of lightning upon the entire battlefield striking any and all combatants on the field up to [2] times. Initial contact deals [50] Lightning Damage but subsequent damage to the same target(s) deals [25].
Weapons:
- Mjölnir - "This... this is Thor's hammer... Mjolnir... slayer of giants and the Midgard serpent." A piece of the Trinity. An ornate short handled yet broad war hammer. Gaian legends speak of this artifact as once belonging to a long forgotten deity that came from a place unknown. Legends also proclaim that the hammer is capable of leveling entire mountains and sundering Gigas with little effort given. Coincidentally, Gaian myths reflect those of Earth's, namely, the Norse deity "Thor." Now it belongs to Riley who holds the responsibility of such a relic as any god should.
- +25 Str. [+14 per level]
- Every third basic attack deals bonus 30 [+12 per level] Lightning damage.
- +25 Str. [+14 per level]
- Járnglófi - "According to the Eddas... Thor needed special iron gauntlets to wield his mighty hammer Mjölnir... could it be?" A piece of the Trinity. Twin talismans that wrap around Riley's hands and Riley's hands only. When worn, they appear more as ribbons of glowing energy than actual metal gauntlets. When inactive, they seem to be mere prongs of metal connected to a single talisman on the back of her hand. Without these Riley would not be able to wield Mjölnir, nor perform the superhuman feats of strength shown liberally in times of battle, as it would become as heavy as all the oceans poured into a satchel. How, exactly, they provide Riley with the strength to wield the hammer remains unknown.
- +15 Str [+15 per lvl]
- +10 Armor [+10 per lvl]
Battle Discipline: Despite not being quite a disciplined fighter as a soldier or a martial artist, Riley is capable of holding her own in battle. Because of the immense power she holds in her hands, she has a tendency to be only as reckless as she should and therefore she fights with a self disciplined demeanor that has thus far been effective. Needless to say, Riley holds back a lot of her new found potential as she remains still somewhat new to the strength she wields and knows that should she break all restraint, the results could be catastrophic. Nevertheless, her prowess on the battlefield is equal to that of any great soldier's as she neither abuses nor belittles her power.
Character Accessories:- Megingjörð - A piece of the Trinity. A talisman that, when worn, becomes a belt made of ribbons of glowing energy that wrap ornately around Riley's waist. This belt is a synergistic relic that compounds with the Járnglófi, making it possible to draw, alternate, and utilize the vast and limitless power required to wield Mjölnir and perform the superhuman feats Riley demonstrates. The exact workings of this Trinity compound are still unknown but Riley has come to develop a basic understanding of the connection in that neither piece of the Trinity would work without the other.
- +100 HP [+25 per lvl]
- +25 Armor
- +15 Str. [+100 Bonus Str. at lvl 21.]
- +40 Mana.
- Lightning attacks used against Riley are absorbed; [10%] of the absorbed damage is converted to Strength with the other [90%] added to Int.

History[CHARACTER BACKGROUND]
"What if... what if those ancients gods weren't gods at all... what if they were like you and me?"
-Riley Sherlock White, age 12.
"When I first came to this world, I was scared. I didn't know where I was or why I was here and, to be honest, I still don't. In the midst of my confusion I've come to realize something; all this is happening for a reason. This world, wherever this is, is one dominated by absolute wickedness. If I were to say it's coincidence that shortly after finding the artifacts and "becoming Thor," I was thrust into this world of need, I'd be lying to myself. Truth be told, I don't feel out of place here. I think the sole reason why I'm in this world is to use this power to change it. As bad as things were back on Earth, it would never come close to the absolute corruption I've seen in this place and if I have to be a god to these people, if I have to be Thor, then so be it. I believe I'm here for this reason."

Chapter 1
Arrival
Arrival
"Look mommy!" The excited shout of a child rung happily in the night as he looked outward to the distant Chek mountains from within his bedroom window. What his eyes beheld that day was a sight unseen for near 100 years prior to that day.
He saw lights in the sky; the descending upon the mountain.
This particular mountain itself had remained an untouched and undisturbed mystery to all who called themselves Gaians. It is said that even the Guardians themselves have long forgotten what significance Chek once held. This, however, was a misconception for on that night it had become obvious that the old gods still watched over Gaia and all therein.
So suddenly was she thrust upon the ground with great force shortly after the great light filled the room. Such a brightness slowly faded and the warmth of it's glow gave way to the cold Gaian night that permeated even in these dark chambers. This, however, was not a common experience for such a one as her and so she slept, tired from the journey; tired from all that transpired.
She dreamed dreams of home; of her father and her mother.
When she awoke, she awoke to the deep biting coldness still permeating in the air. It felt almost like the cold of snow; the snow in winter. Slowly, she clambered upward from her position upon the ground, the Trinity in hand, and she looked to and fro. She beheld, with her eyes, a temple of sorts long abandoned and unkempt, glyphs and images on the walls each unlike ones she has beheld in her previous life and yet strangely familiar.
"Am I dreaming?" She thought to herself as she took her first steps through the grand halls of such a majestic place. Though it was clear that no human life had taken steps within these walls and upon these floors in a very long time, the sight in itself was one of grandeur; as though standing tall and proud despite having been forgotten by all.
"Finally awake, are you?" The sound of an elderly, yet strong, man echoed throughout the halls from a place still unseen and yet unknown.
"Whose there?" She cried in return as she turned her gaze every which way to catch a glimpse of the speaker and yet wherever her eyes turned she found nothing but the vast and empty loneliness of these long forgotten halls.
"Come and see." Cried a response from the same voice.
Thus she walked every which way in search of the speaker who spoke from that place yet unseen and still unknown. Images on the wall told stories of legends long ago, words clearly written in some language of old carved skillfully upon the stone, and to her eyes, all was simply archaically beautiful as it remained encased in it's cover of cold.
When at long last she arrived in that place; a room vast and empty lit by a single fire burning ferociously against the cold in the middle of the room. Dispelling the darkness, it pushed away all shroud to reveal dimly the great statues of figures she knew all too well staring down at her and at him; a well aged man, sagely and bearded, yet tall and dignified, tending to the flames and being warmed by it's light.
"Come, sit with me." A friendly voice that gave no indication of malice or malfeasance. She stared at him with analytical eyes as she approached the fire and was given no such gaze in return for he knew well of who she was and she, too, perhaps of who he was and yet she did not know what memory of old held the mystery of such a one as this.
"Who... who are you?" Curiously, she held her eyes upon him in hopes of unraveling what mystery therein beckoned her mind.
"Me?" Asked the old man, "More importantly, who are you?" His gaze turned upward from the flames and was placed upon her for a moment before turning back to those flickering licks of fire that danced about with the cold mist that blanketed the ground.
"I'm... Riley.. Riley White." The subtle tremble in her voice accented the uttered words spoken timidly and fearfully. For whatever reason it may have been, Riley felt compelled to give this man an answer. She wasn't sure if it was the cold gaze of his single eye sinking deep into the very crevices of her heart or if it was simply her own sense of respect that drew her name out but it was certain that this man was no ordinary man for he stood in this temple; a place furthest from that of the ordinary.
Clothed in a dark blue cloak, he stood above those flames as though a majestic king standing from the place of his throne and looking down at his subjects in reverent reverence. In his hand he held a staff which he stabbed at the flames with and for all it's consuming chaos, the flames did not blacken such a staff as this.
"But who are you?" Spoke the man once more.
"What do you think it was, mommy?" Spoke the voice of innocence from within that bedroom window. That night, this child slept soundly and dreamed dreams of a world afar off where he was an older man who roamed the lands freely and without threat or danger. There were no wars and everywhere he looked, the land was green with life.
"But who are you?" It was a question that resonated in the deepest recesses of her mind as she made her way through the ice and the stone that stood obstacle before her path. When Riley at long last came to walk through the great archway of this temple's entrance, she found herself standing atop a tall mountain where the temple stood behind her truly forgotten; truly abandoned. There, in that place high atop where the earth below met the heavens above, she looked outward and beheld a world not her own, scarred and marred by some tribulation unbeknown to her and for a split second, her ears opened to the cry of the people in this world. Their torment and their grief went up, to the very heavens, and they cried for salvation and peace. Therein, she heard the cry of the planet and it was as many waters resounding in a vessel, trapped, and yearning to be released from it's suffocation.
"Who am I, you ask?" She spoke a softly spoken response to herself as she gazed upon the warming ribbons of light glowing vibrant around her hands. Riley knew well the answer to such a question and in that answer there was a far greater destiny than even she realized.
Outward she looked,
Unto a lost and dying world.
